Photos Lead To Career

by admin on Jun.25, 2010, under Internet

When I started taking photography classes in high school I never thought that it would lead to a photography career. I am excited to say that fifteen years after graduating high school I am still taking and making photographs. One of my favorite artistic and creative outlets is Flickr.

For my photography classes I can often only submit the best of the best photographs that I take. In order to get one good photograph that is acceptable for a school critique I often have to take hundreds. While the one perfect photograph gets submitted to school for credit I often end up with many sub par but still unique and interesting photographs of a subject. When I cannot submit these photos for credit in school I use Flickr with my satellite wireless internet as a platform for these photographs to go for a critique. Though I cannot get a classroom critique for these photographs on Flickr I often find that this outlet is a better place to use as a place to get community feedback about my work. The internet has become a great source of inspiration and a place for me to share and have people share with me. Flickr allows me to upload albums at a time of my most important art work and it can stay protected and viewed by my specific requirements. This is a guest post by Erica Mosley
